I want to thank you

I want to thank you, Mom and Dad, You rescued me and took me home. You were the best a dog could have I knew I’d never be alone. You taught me how to come when called, You taught me how to sit. You always let me go outside So I could take a ……walk! You always let me lick your hands And even lick your face Despite the fact I licked myself In every private place! The cat food that was on the floor Always hit the spot Although it wasn’t really mine I sure like it a lot. And when you sit and watch TV Give a little snicker…….. I’m sure you’ll always think of me when you hold the clicke. In the evening when it’s dark Just look up in the sky See that star that shines so bright That’s me…so please don’t cry. I thank you for our memories And all your care and love I’ll be with you for all of time Watching from above I‘m in a place now where all good doggies go So you can be relieved There’s no more pain or suffering And the Pizzels,…… you wouldn’t believe So don’t feel sad or all alone I knew the time was right I tried to tell you with my eyes It was time to say …Goodnight……..
